LOIS AND HAROLD HANSHEW SCHOLARSHIP

Established in February 2010, our newest scholarship provides assistance to students attending graduate school. Lois, a teacher and guidance counselor in Sherman County for many years, created this scholarship on behalf of herself and her late husband, Harold.

It was their wish to encourage Sherman County college graduates to continue their academic pursuits in professional or graduate school. As Lois says, "The world needs people willing to sacrifice to obtain an advanced degree. It would be great to have some of our students who obtain these degrees come back to Sherman County."
